HRIS Business Analyst – Banking Financial Industry

Summary

The HRIS Business Analyst is responsible for overseeing, optimizing, and advancing Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in the bank. Leveraging extensive industry experience and deep HRIS expertise, this role ensures HR technology supports operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and data integrity. The HRIS Business Analyst partners with Regional HR, CoE’s, IT, Country HR and business units to deliver robust and scalable HRIS solutions tailored to the complex need of financial Sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead End to end analysis, design and implementation of HRIS enhancements, integrations, and new functionalities specific to banking and finance.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HRIS best practices, data security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR) for financial institutions.

• Support large scale HRIS implementations, including system migrations, upgrades, and integrations with payroll, benefits, and compliance platforms.

• Drive data conversion and ensure the highest standard of data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with industry regulations.

• Develop interpret and present complex HR reports and analytics to support workforce planning, compensation, and strategic decision-initiatives.

• Provide expert level support, training, and documentation for HRIS users across HR payroll, risk and compliance teams.

• Collaborate with external vendors and internal IT teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance and driven innovation.

• Identify recommend and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within HRIS and related HR functions.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure HRIS solution remains complaint and competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum 10 years of progressive HRIS experience with at least 3 years in banking/financial services.

• In depth Knowledge of Leading HRIS Platforms (e.g. Workday, Oracle, HCM, SAP SuccessFactors) and their applications in the financial sector. Workday implementation experience preferred.

• Demonstrated success managing complex HRIS project, system integration and process improvement.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Expertise in regulatory compliance, data security, risk management within financial services.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Hands of experience with user requirements gathering, training and guide preparation, user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Understanding of ERP integrations involving payroll, benefits and financial system.

• Familiarity with financial industry standards, Audit processes and regulatory frameworks.
