Sales Support Engineer
Location: Singapore

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Sales Support Engineer to support the sales team in delivering effective solutions and ensuring the smooth execution of the order-to-delivery process. This role serves as a key link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams by providing technical support, preparing quotations, coordinating order fulfilment, and ensuring accurate order management. The position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales Support
- Work closely with Sales Engineers to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare equipment selections, cost estimates, and detailed quotations based on project specifications.
- Liaise with factories and suppliers to ensure accurate product selection, competitive pricing, and solution suitability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, including features, applications, and benefits.
- Provide technical support and clarification to internal teams and customers when required.
Order Management & Coordination
- Process and maintain customer orders accurately within the order management system.
- Coordinate order processing activities and delivery schedules to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor order progress and ensure timely fulfilment in accordance with customer requirements and contractual commitments.
- Address and resolve order-related issues, including discrepancies, changes, returns, and cancellations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of customer orders.
Documentation & Administration
- Prepare and process invoices, credit notes, and debit notes in accordance with company procedures.
- Support timely revenue recognition and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, quotations, and customer transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve order management processes, workflows, and system efficiency.
- Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and support operational excellence.
- Undertake additional sales support and administrative responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Prior experience in sales support, sales engineering, technical support, order management, or a related role is advantageous.
- Experience within the HVAC, building services, industrial equipment, or engineering industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems or order management platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
