Electrical Engineer (Industrial Automation) - Tai Seng

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design and implementation of industrial automation and control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical design, tender evaluation, project costing, technical support, and system integration activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, control circuits, and control panel systems for industrial automation projects.
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and customer requirements to ensure compliance, feasibility, and scope clarity.
• Prepare project costing, cost estimation, and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on electrical designs and tender requirements.
• Develop electrical drawings and documentation using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for control panels and electrical systems.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to installation and service teams.
• Coordinate with mechanical, software, and project teams to ensure successful system integration.
• Ensure compliance with international electrical standards including IEC/EN, NFPA/NEC, and UL.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation or control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, control panel design, and system integration.
• Experience in tender review, technical evaluation, and cost estimation is preferred.
• Familiar with industrial automation components including PLC systems, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
• Proficient in EPLAN (preferred) and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of IEC/EN, NFPA/NEC, and UL standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to support teams across different time zones.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
