Senior Test Engineer (German MNC) - Design Verification & Validation

A global technology company with a newly established Singapore R&D Competence Center focused on sensor technology and power electronics for industrial, energy, and green mobility applications. The R&D team in Singapore is newly created and will be focusing on sensors development as well as energy meters development.

Senior Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• As the sole Test Engineer in the Singapore R&D team, you will be test and validate new products (components / product level)to ensure they meet performance, quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Set up and carry out tests on hardware and embedded software using suitable test methods and equipment.
• Create test plans, execute tests, and coordinate testing activities with relevant teams.
• Identify product issues, analyse test results, and work with engineers to resolve problems and improve products.
• Improve testing processes and explore new tools and technologies to make testing more efficient and effective.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or a related field, with minimum 5years of relevant testing experience.
• Hands-on experience in hardware and firmware testing, including working with different operating systems and testmethodologies.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies for product validation andtroubleshooting.
• Experience in test automation and communication protocols such as Python, LabVIEW, MODBUS, CAN, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of electronics safety and compliance testing, including EMC, ESD, and electrical safety standards; experience with high-power electronic products is an advantage.
