Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Industry Partnership) - School of IT

[What the role is] The Lecturer will play a key role in promoting and expanding adult training programmes in Information Technology. This position integrates business development, marketing, teaching, and programme administration to support both adult education and pre-employment training. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who can engage adult learners and industry partners while implementing strategies to strengthen course visibility and enrolment. [What you will be working on] Business Development & Marketing • Identify new business opportunities and broaden CET course offerings in line with market demands. • Establish partnerships with industry players, associations, and government agencies to support enrolment growth. • Conduct market research to monitor trends and identify new opportunities in the adult learning landscape. • Develop and execute marketing initiatives, including digital content and promotional materials. • Organise outreach activities such as workshops and webinars, and assess campaign effectiveness. Teaching & Course Delivery • Conduct engaging lessons using diverse instructional methods such as lectures, tutorials, discussions, and online delivery. • Track student performance, provide timely feedback and academic support, and foster a positive learning environment. • Serve as both personal mentor and internship mentor, offering career guidance and supporting professional development. Programme Administration & Operations • Act as Programme Lead, reviewing resumes and qualifications to assess suitability for CET course admissions. • Oversee course operations, including learner registration, scheduling, and pastoral support for adult learners. • Ensure accurate documentation of enrolment, attendance, learner progress, and feedback. [What we are looking for] • At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT-related field • Relevant qualification in the area of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related fields of study • Good working knowledge of Cloud, Software development, RPA, Data Analytics or AI is preferred • Strong interest to engage in Continuing Education & Training • Ideally possess a strong background in business development.
