Automation Engineer (Ship Repairs)

Overview:

We are seeking an innovative Automation Engineer to design, integrate, and maintain automated systems for ship repair applications. You will lead the implementation of robotics, PLCs, and other technologies to improve efficiency, safety, and accuracy in shipyard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and program robotic systems, PLCs, and automated solutions for shipyard tasks.

· Integrate automation with existing shipyard infrastructure.

· Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

· Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot automated machinery.

· Provide technical training and support to operators.

· Analyse system performance and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

· Hands-on experience in industrial robotics (ABB, KUKA, FANUC) and PLC programming.

· Knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET).

· Familiarity with marine repair processes (welding, painting, NDT).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work in physically demanding shipyard conditions.
