About the Project

This project is responsible for the resilience and performance of core banking infrastructure. These engineers ensure that mission critical financial systems often running on IBM Power Systems maintain high availability through advanced storage management and strict adherence to regulatory compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Implement the best practices of AS400 and SAN storage technology and ensure that these best practices are adopted and executed in all aspect of operation implementation in the bank.

• Provision custom CL or RPG program for system monitoring and automation of system job.

• Deliver and implement new IBM i installation or technology refresh projects according to Bank standards and requirements.

• Ability to administer and troubleshoot the complex AS400 systems, ensure banking services are available to all customers.

• Ability to administer AS400 third party security products such as 2FA, Authority Broker.

• Update all project stakeholders on the project status and progress.

Skills/Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in large scale of IBM i installation.

• Must have in-depth knowledge and system support experience on IBM i system administration, system security setup, complex TCP/IP routing.

• Must have in-depth knowledge and system support experience on IBM SAN storage and SAN fabric attached to IBM i.

• Must have hands-on experience in performance tuning and hardening of IBM i operating system.

• Possess good technical knowledge in high availability design, implementation, migration, upgrade of the abovementioned system.

• Experience in troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of technical issues and be able to provide resolution/mitigation steps and generate incident report.

• Knowledge in data communication, network & information security is an added advantage.
