Lead Software Engineer (Min 6 years of experience required)

We are seeking an experienced Software Lead to drive the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing digital solutions that support public sector transformation. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on system design, and team mentorship, ensuring engineering excellence while delivering impactful outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to build resilient solutions that align with business objectives and public sector standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and guide software engineers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
• Architect and develop scalable, maintainable fullstack applications and systems.
• Design, develop, and review secure, high-performance APIs.
• Promote secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles throughout the development lifecycle.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and integrate quality assurance into delivery workflows.
• Collaborate with business analysts, UI/UX designers, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure cloud-native best practices for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance on AWS or Azure.
• Deliver solutions that integrate with government authentication platforms (e.g., Singpass, Corppass) and comply with public sector requirements.
• Support project planning, effort estimation, and risk management activities.
• Contribute to or lead IoT platform and device integration initiatives where applicable.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on software development experience, including 2–3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in fullstack development across frontend and backend technologies.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of secure coding practices and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience delivering government sector systems, including integration with government authentication services (e.g., Singpass, Corppass).
• Familiarity with Agile development and delivery practices.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Experience with IoT integration and data processing is an added advantage.
