Assistant Manager (Manufacturing Engineering) (Yishun)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Department: Rationalization

Reports to: Department Manager

Functional relationships: Li-Ion battery Equipment and Process Engineering in Japan factories

POSITION PROFILE:

This position is to drive for improvement and rationalization activities of manufacturing equipment with in-depth knowledge and experience in Li-Ion batteries manufacturing processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead new product introduction and capacity expansion Projects

• Lead cost down activities

• Window person to TMM and MMC to facilitate effective communication / knowledge transfer

• Provide Technical expertise in liquid cell process / materials/Equipment

• To improve reliability of Li-Ion manufacturing equipment through rationalization activities

• To be the window person between MES and Japan factories for the transfer of knowledge, technologies and equipment

• To organize and provide technical training to local engineers

Ability/Competency required:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in electronic manufacturing industry.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skill.

• To have strong growth mind-set for change and improvement.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, project management skills, and troubleshooting skills.

• Fluent in Japanese and English language skills to liaise with Japan factories & R&D departments, and local staff in Murata Singapore factory.
