Laser Application Engineer (Industrial Automation / Optics and Laser Systems / MNC)

Job Scope

• Perform laser unit installation and alignment on laser depaneling machines.
• Configure depaneling machines according to internal specifications and customer requirements, including camera calibration, field calibration, and software debugging.
• Conduct health checks on incoming laser units and coordinate with vendors to resolve defects or delivery issues.
• Maintain records of laser parts and optical components installed on machines.
• Support laser processing experiments and studies as needed, including laser cutting trials and measurements of processed samples.
• Troubleshoot laser-related issues on deployed depaneling machines once proficient.
• Provide customer training, demonstrations, and guidance on process parameters and machine operations once proficient.
• Collaborate with internal design teams and external vendors to develop solutions for unique customer applications once proficient.

Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering or other related field
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experiences in automation industry
• Experience in optics and laser systems is advantageous
