Job Description

Location: Novena Job Category: Allied Health Posting Date: 6 Jun 2026 Job Responsibilities Clinical • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments using appropriate occupational therapy tools. • Develop, implement, review, and modify individualized treatment plans and rehabilitation goals. • Act as the primary therapist responsible for overall patient management. • Supervise and delegate therapy interventions to therapy aides. • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning. • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation. Professional & Education • Practice in accordance with the AHPC Code of Professional Conduct. • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information. • Engage in continuous professional development, in-service training, and departmental meetings. • Liaise with external service providers, statutory bodies, and voluntary welfare organisations. • Supervise therapy aide students and Occupational Therapy students on clinical placement. • Train junior staff and supervise OT students (Years 1–3). Administrative & Organizational • Update daily patient statistics and comply with departmental and organizational policies. • Maintain and manage occupational therapy equipment and resources. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with research data collection. • Perform duties and projects assigned by senior management. • Lead departmental or hospital-level quality improvement projects. Health & Safety • Attend mandatory training including BCLS, Safe Manual Handling, and Fire Safety. • Adhere to infectious disease precautions and workplace safety standards. • Identify, report, and manage workplace safety risks, incidents, and hazards. Job Requirements Qualifications • Degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by MOH / AHPC. • Registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) with a valid practising certificate. • Postgraduate qualification or relevant certification is an advantage. • Membership with the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT) is encouraged. Experience & Attributes • Prior experience in geriatric community hospitals, long-term care, or nursing home settings is an advantage. • Compassionate, and empathetic with the ability to relate well to elderly patients and residents. • Strong team player who works collaboratively towards holistic patient care. • Demonstrates professionalism and upholds the dignity, values, and interests of the organization. • Committed to serving patients and residents regardless of race, nationality, religion, or social status.
