Job Description
Position
As the Assistant Merchandiser, you will drive the business for Women's Accessories with the Merchandising Manager, aiming to achieve sales and sell-through targets while ensuring adherence to the strategy for the South Asia region.
This is a 1-year fixed-term contract role, offering hands-on exposure to regional merchandising within a luxury retail environment.
Job responsibilities
Buying
• Prepare Seasonal Buy through sales analysis, product strategy development, and product opportunity identification by collaborating with Merchandising Manager
• Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams to make key decisions on OTB budget and deliver the strategic decision in line with brand guidelines
• Develop balanced product assortment strategy to achieve targeted sales projection and sell through
In-season management
• Build initial allocation strategies for seasonal and permanent products to maximize sales and achieve sell through targets
• Partner with Supply Chain team to ensure the optimal stock flow and inventory
• Work closely with Retail team & E-Commerce team to deliver the clear product strategies and maximize the sales and sell through in line with global guidelines
• Collaborate with VM team on product launches, new store opening and events
• Collaborate with Training team to deliver product training materials
Reporting
• Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly sales reports to propose appropriate action to take in for both overall business & seasonal collections
• Consolidate and deliver constructive feedback on product and collection
Profile
Education & Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
Work Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in Merchandising or Buying
• Luxury retail or fashion house experience is preferred
Skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong knowledge of local fashion market
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key decision-makers
