Job Summary

The Technical Customer Engineer for Samsung’s Memory division acts as the key technical liaison between customers and headquarters. This role exists to serve as the primary point of contact for Samsung SSD customer service in the region, managing quality-related consultations and resolving technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to SSD performance, compatibility, and hardware firmware to ensure seamless product operation
  • Monitor and analyze defect rate trends of SSD-loaded systems to identify improvement opportunities and enhance product quality
  • Lead technical discussions with customers to drive quality improvements and ensure requested enhancements are incorporated into products
  • Manage and resolve high-level technical inquiries and product escalations from global clients, focusing on laptop/desktop systems assembled with Samsung SSDs
  • Drive and maintain high customer satisfaction scores among major B2B accounts and channel partners across the region

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in DRAM development, testing, or failure analysis
  • Technical expertise in memory products with practical experience in system design, validation, and troubleshooting across multi-disciplinary systems
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Customer Service, or customer-facing technical support within the semiconductor or electronics industry
  • Understanding of the memory ecosystem and market landscape across ASEAN regions
  • In-depth knowledge of SSD development and production processes
  • Strong understanding of SSD firmware operations and hardware system architecture
  • Proven expertise in failure analysis, root cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting
