Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled TWS & Automation Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise workload automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS)/IBM Workload Automation (IWA), scripting, and process automation to ensure reliable and efficient batch processing across business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and support IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Automation environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain job schedules, workflows, calendars, and dependencies.
  • Troubleshoot job failures and perform root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop automation solutions using Shell Scripting, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and business teams for scheduling requirements.
  • Perform workload migration, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and change management processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual operational tasks and improve service delivery.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Automation.
  • Strong understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and workload management.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Shell Scripting, PowerShell, Python, or other automation tools.
  • Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, or Google.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Experience with database technologies such as Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in workload automation, scripting, or cloud technologies are advantageous.
