Snr QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Lead automation initiatives within the Orion QA team to enhance service health and reliability by developing frameworks, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement in testing automation and performance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with QA team members to establish and maintain automation standards and best practices within the Orion team
• Identify automation opportunities to improve service health, manageability, and reliability
• Develop and evaluate automation frameworks and toolsets tailored to specific applications
• Perform performance testing using tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter to assess system robustness
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies including Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment
• Provide technical leadership to guide automation strategy and execution across projects
• Collaborate effectively with peers and influence team members to adopt automation best practices
• Design and implement automation strategies for both UI and API testing
• Integrate automation within CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and deployment processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or MCA from a reputed institute
• Minimum 12 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and Automation
• Experience with Selenium, Tosca, Postman, and other open-source automation tools
• Software engineering experience
• Agile and Scrum methodology experience
