Job Description

Role Overview

The candidate will be a member of the IT Asia team, which manages and delivers the business project portfolio to support the Bank’s growth strategy. Responsibilities include business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, project management for smaller initiatives and change management. The Business Analyst works closely with the Product Owner, Business stakeholders, Scrum Master, IT Project Leads and Developers to deliver projects end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • A clear, structured communicator who can present complex topics simply to diverse audiences
  • Ability to navigate unknowns and business needs into clear functional specifications for developers
  • Engage and align stakeholders across management, front office, thinking in the lens of risk and compliance
  • Ability to convey a high-level understanding of trading workflows (pre-trade, execution, post-trade)

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 to maximum 15 years of experience in banking, preferably private banking and/or asset management
  • Thorough understanding of private banking value chain; key focus is on business understanding
  • Good understanding of business processes, process design, and process re-engineering
  • Good understanding of Business project life cycle in addition to System Development Life Cycle
  • Knowledge of SQL is an added advantage; knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology would be an advantage

Personal Skills

  • Strong knowledge of private banking business; able to speak both technical and business language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyse, prioritize, and resolve issues during challenging times
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to interact with C-Level Executives, functional leads, SMEs, Technical leads, and Application Managers
