Hair Technical Educator / Showroom Consultant

About This Position
Beauty Garage is strengthening its Hair category business and is looking for individuals who can take on the role of Hair Technical Educator

Role Purpose
This position aims to support Hair category products (including hair color, chemical treatments, and hair care products) by:

• Promoting correct technical understanding
• Supporting product adoption in salons
• Improving repeat order rates
• Enhancing overall brand value

This role is not simply that of an instructor, but a position that contributes to stabilizing and growing sales through technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

① Technical Training & Demonstrations (Core Responsibility)

• Conduct technical training sessions for salon professionals
• Provide in-salon product demonstrations
• Deliver technical explanations during new product introductions
• Provide usage guidance and technical support
• Identify and understand technical challenges faced by salons

Expected workload upon formal activation:
10–15 training/demo sessions per month

② Showroom Operations Support

During periods without scheduled training or demonstrations, the role will support showroom operations, including:

• Providing product explanations to visiting salon customers
• Recommending products from a technical perspective
• Conducting simple product demonstrations when required
• Advising salons considering product adoption
• Sharing customer needs and insights internally

This is not a standard retail sales role.
The focus is to enhance customer experience as a Technical Sales Support function.

③ Education & Event Support

• Assist with technical training conducted by visiting manufacturers or brand educators
• Support seminar and event operations
• Assist in preparation and execution of educational events
• Support preparation of basic technical materials when necessary

④ Market Feedback Collection

• Collect technical feedback from salon professionals
• Share product improvement insights internally
• Submit internal reports on market trends and field feedback

Key Performance Indicators (Upon Formal Activation)

• 10–15 training/demo sessions per month
• Number of salons adopting new products
• Improvement in repeat order rates following training
• Sales contribution generated through showroom customer engagement

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the hair/beauty industry
• Hairdresser or technical professional experience
• Ability to conduct technical demonstrations and training sessions
• Basic communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Education or training experience
• Experience as a manufacturer or brand instructor
• Ability to communicate in Chinese and/or Japanese

Employment Type

• Full-time position (preferred applicants welcome)
• Part-time or contract arrangements negotiable
• Local travel within Singapore and/or Malaysia may be required
• Work will be conducted at both showroom locations and salon sites
• This position is open to Singapore Citizens and PRs only
