Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager (Electrical) supports the Project Manager in ensuring the successful initiation, planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects. This role involves planning and organizing project schedules and resources, managing timelines, and addressing customer concerns. The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring that electrical projects are executed efficiently and effectively, meeting both client expectations and company standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting the Project Manager in planning and executing electrical projects from start to finish
• Coordinating with the project team, including engineers, contractors and vendors, to ensure project success
• Preparing project schedules, budgets, timelines, and progress reports
• Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety regulation
• Reviewing and approving project designs, drawings, and specifications
• Assisting the procurement of materials and equipment required for the project
• Managing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and invoices
• Communicating with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues
• Assisting in the resolution of any project related problems or disputes
• Assisting in the management of project resources, including personnel equipment, and materials
• Assisting in the identification and management of project risks and issues
• Assisting in the evaluation and assessment of project outcomes to identify areas for improvement
• Ensuring that project documentation is complete and up-to-date

Job Requirements

• Min. 8 years of experience in Electrical works
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations
• Experience with electrical works, Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, distribution board, cable selection, electrical single line drawing, cable containment system, lighting fixtures
• Good knowledge in AutoCAD drawings
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders
• Analytical and problem-skills to identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation
