Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Technical / Pre‑Sales Engineer to support the growth of our AI‑driven sustainability solutions for the built environment. This role plays a critical part in shaping customer solutions by translating business and facility needs into technically sound, implementable, and commercially viable offerings.
The successful candidate will work closely with sales, product, engineering, and delivery teams, as well as customers and third‑party technology partners, throughout the sales and solution‑design lifecycle—from initial discovery through proposal, demonstration, and handover to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑Sales & Solution Design
- Partner with the sales team to support enterprise sales opportunities across commercial and industrial customers.
- Engage customers to understand building operations, sustainability objectives, and technical constraints.
- Translate customer needs into solution architectures and technical requirements involving: BMS, HVAC systems, IoT sensors and gateways, Data platforms and analytics, AI‑driven sustainability and performance use cases
- Define solution scope, system architecture, and integration approaches.
Technical Discovery & Customer Engagement
- Conduct technical discovery workshops, site walk‑throughs, and requirement‑gathering sessions.
- Assess existing building systems, data availability, and readiness for AI and analytics solutions.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers during the sales process.
- Support customer presentations, solution walkthroughs, and technical discussions.
Collaboration & Internal Coordination
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable and scalable.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams to validate technical feasibility and implementation effort.
- Coordinate with finance and delivery teams to support effort estimation, assumptions, and risk assessment.
- Contribute to smooth handover from pre‑sales to project execution.
Third‑Party & Vendor Solutions
- Work with pre‑sales and product teams to identify and evaluate third‑party hardware, software, and sensor solutions when required.
- Support technical qualification and integration planning of external vendor technologies.
Proposals, Proofs & Demonstrations
- Contribute to technical proposal content, including solution descriptions, architecture diagrams, and implementation approaches.
- Support RFP and tender responses.
- Assist in preparing and delivering solution demonstrations, proofs of concept (PoCs), and pilot deployments.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in a technical pre‑sales or solutions engineering role.
- Hands‑on exposure to one or more of the following domains:
Building Management Systems (BMS
HVAC engineering
Facilities management systems
Energy management, sustainability,
or ESG solutions Smart building or IoT platforms
Experience supporting enterprise or complex solution sales cycles.
Background working with system integrators, technology vendors, or engineering‑led solution providers is preferred.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Building Management System and Building Management related Software.
- Familiarity with common integration protocols and standards (e.g. BACnet, Modbus, API integrations).
- Basic Understanding of IT infra requirement, Cyber security considerations, and software implementation.
- Knowledge of system architectures, sensors, gateways, and data pipelines.
- Ability to understand AI and data‑analytics workflows at a conceptual level (no data scientist background required).
- Comfortable creating high‑level architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
