Job Description

IT Support Executive

Location: Kovan

Working days: 5 days (Mon - Fri)

Working time: 

7.30 to 5.15pm or 8.30 to 6.15pm or 9.30 to 7.15pm 

Salary: $3000 - $3500

Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced IT Support to join our team. The candidate

will be responsible for providing end-user support and maintaining IT infrastructure, including desktop systems, network devices, and servers. The role involves coordination with external vendors and support for WAN connectivity, Routers, Firewalls, Active Directory, and NAS systems to ensure stable and secure IT operations

Key Areas of Accountabilities:

  1. Provide end-user IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
  2. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems and business applications
  3. Support endpoint security tools, antivirus software, system updates, and patch management
  4. Troubleshoot and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity
  5. Configure, manage, and monitor routers, switches, access points, and firewalls
  6. Identify and resolve network performance and connectivity issues
  7. Administer Active Directory including user accounts, group policies, permissions, and access control
  8. Manage NAS systems, file storage, backups, and access rights
  9. Perform routine system monitoring, maintenance, and basic recovery tasks
  10. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware and software support
  11. Identify and escalate complex technical issues to internal teams or external vendors, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  12. Ensure issues are resolved within agreed service levels
  13. Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and access provisioning
  14. Maintain IT asset inventory, licenses, and equipment lifecycle records 
  15. Create, update, and maintain IT documentation and standard operating procedures
  16. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and organizational standards
  17. Monitor systems for security threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access
  18. Assist with security audits, best practices implementation, and user awareness initiatives

Requirements:

  1. Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  2. 2–5 years in IT/Desktop Support or IT Operations.
  3. Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and desktop environment knowledge.
  4. Networking basics: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP; routers, firewalls, and basic network security.
  5. Active Directory administration.
  6. Experience with NAS systems (e.g., Synology) and remote support tools (e.g. TeamViewer).
