Job Description

  • Hands-on role focused on shipping quality code while learning kernel, networking, and wireless stack internals.

  • Design, implement, and test small to medium‑scale features within OpenWrt packages and system services, including UCI, procd, and ubus

  • Diagnose and triage issues on device images using system logs, dmesg, and kernel crash reports

  • Develop unit and integration tests, maintain CI pipeline scripts, and adhere to established release checklists

  • Collaborate with senior engineers on driver bring‑up, board support packages (BSP), and device tree updates

  • Maintain high engineering standards through clear documentation, well‑structured commit messages, and active participation in code reviews

Requirements/skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in C

  • Working knowledge of Linux userland and basic shell scripting (ash/bash)

  • Comfortable using Git and common debugging tools such as gdb, strace, and tcpdump

  • Willingness to learn and work with the OpenWrt build system, cross‑compilation toolchains, and embedded Linux development workflows

  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (interfaces, IP addressing, routing) or Wi‑Fi concepts

  • Prior academic or hobbyist experience with embedded Linux, OpenWrt, or Yocto

  • Experience using Python for testing or automation
