Job Description
The Financial Controller will take full responsibility for the company’s compliance and financial controls while providing strategic insight to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Produce monthly management accounts and board reports
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis
- Monitor KPIs and provide actionable financial insights
Operational Finance
- Implement and maintain internal controls and processes
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Review accounting entries for accuracy
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage banking relationships and funding requirements
Compliance & Governance
- Establish policies and manage financial controls
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax regulations
- Manage audit processes
- Oversee yearly financial audit
Leadership & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors
- Support commercial decision-making
- Lead and develop the finance team
- Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (Degree in Accountancy, CPA / ACCA or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance experience, with prior exposure to working in an SME environment preferred
- Strong financial acumen and hands-on approach
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently and drive process improvements
