Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Technical Sales Engineer to lead technical solutioning and client engagement in the renewable energy sector. This role serves as the key technical authority during pre-sales and project development, bridging customers, engineering, and commercial teams to deliver bankable and scalable energy solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with strategic thinking and proven client-facing experience.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Solution Development
• Lead end-to-end technical solutioning for solar PV, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), EV charging infrastructure, or hybrid energy systems.
• Develop system architectures, single-line diagrams, and technical proposals aligned with client requirements.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy yield analysis.
• Provide technical validation for costing, risk assessment, and commercial proposals.
• Ensure solutions comply with grid codes, regulatory standards, and safety requirements.
2. Pre-Sales & Business Development
• Act as the technical lead in client meetings, RFQs, tenders, and contract negotiations.
• Prepare and review tender documentation, technical compliance sheets, and bid clarifications.
• Support financial modelling inputs (CAPEX, OPEX, performance assumptions).
• Identify technical differentiators to strengthen competitive positioning.
• Support regional expansion initiatives where applicable.
3. Stakeholder & Project Coordination
• Serve as the primary technical interface between customers, EPC partners, consultants, and internal teams.
• Provide technical oversight during project handover from sales to project execution.
• Manage technical risks and resolve high-level engineering issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge development within the team.
4. Market & Industry Expertise
• Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in renewable energy.
• Engage with utilities, regulatory bodies, and industry partners when required.
• Contribute to product development feedback based on market needs.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, power systems, energy storage, or EV charging infrastructure.
• Strong technical understanding of:
• Solar PV system design and grid connection
• BESS sizing and integration
• Inverters, transformers, and protection systems
• EMS/SCADA systems (preferred)
• Proven experience handling tenders and complex technical negotiations.
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Commercially aware with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience working with regional projects (SEA or APAC).
• Knowledge of local grid compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• PMP or equivalent project certification is a plus.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.
