QA Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a leading global firm in the financial technology space. This position focuses on ensuring the stability and quality of complex trading and data platforms. You will work on high-performance systems in an agile environment, contributing to the design and implementation of automation frameworks and promoting best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for backend and UI applications.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks from scratch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

• SDLC & Testing: 5–8 years in software testing, including backend REST APIs and Linux/UNIX environments especially using Java.
• Automation Tools: Playwright & Cucumber (preferred), if not Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Maven
• Cloud & Agile: Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms; familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence.
• Capital Markets & FIX protocol experience.
• Strong understanding of QA processes and methodologies.
• Attention to detail
• Good communication and mentoring skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Integration testing with upstream/downstream systems.
• Familiar with DevOps concepts
