Cloud Solutions Architect

The Cloud Solution Architect plays a key role in helping customers modernize and transform their IT infrastructure using public cloud technologies. This role works closely with Digital & Cloud Experts, presales teams, and customers to design, propose, and deliver scalable cloud solutions that meet both technical and business needs.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey — from presales and solution design to implementation and post-deployment optimization — while ensuring solutions are secure, cost-effective, and future-ready.

Cloud Architecture & Solution Design

• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions aligned with customer business goals.

• Architect solutions across IaaS and PaaS, including containers, serverless, and cloud-native services.

• Develop cloud modernization roadmaps (lift & shift, re-hosting, re-platforming, re-factoring).

• Ensure solutions meet performance, security, governance, and compliance standards.

Presales & Consulting

• Collaborate with APAC presales teams to qualify opportunities and shape cloud solutions.

• Deliver solution presentations, demos, pilots, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

• Lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.

• Prepare technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, proposals, and BoMs.

• Provide cost estimates for cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.

Cloud Transformation & Delivery

• Support application, middleware, database, and infrastructure migration to the cloud.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to integration, scalability, and configuration drift.

• Provide technical leadership during implementation and ensure solutions are delivered as designed.

• Work closely with project managers to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.

DevOps & Cloud-Native Enablement

• Apply DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to support cloud transformation.

• Leverage containers, microservices, serverless, and managed app services.

• Share best practices on Managed Cloud operating models and cloud governance.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

• Engage business and technical stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business objectives.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor during and after implementation.

• Mentor junior architects and consultants.

• Stay current with cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.

Experience Required

• 8–10 years of IT implementation or consulting experience, including:

  • VMware vSphere, data centre concepts

  • Enterprise storage (NetApp, EMC)

  • Server platforms (HP, Dell)

• 3–4 years of architecture and design experience for enterprise or distributed systems.

• 2–3 years hands-on experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Proven experience delivering large-scale production cloud deployments within the last year.

• Strong understanding of public cloud pricing models and cost optimization.

• Experience designing on-premise to cloud migration strategies.

• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns (SOA, ESB, EAI, ETL).

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD automation.

• Strong experience in proposal writing and tender responses.

• Ability to lead and influence virtual and cross-functional teams.

• AWS: EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, VPC, Route 53
  (or equivalent services in Azure / GCP)

Public Cloud (PaaS & Cloud-Native)

• Containers & serverless: Docker, EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Azure Functions

Integration & Messaging

• API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Azure Service Fabric or equivalent

Cloud Migration Tools

• AWS Migration Services, Azure Migration Tool, VMware, Turbonomic, Micro Focus

Preferred

• Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation, ARM, or similar tools

• Scripting / programming: Python, Java, Shell, Ruby, Perl, ASP.Net

• DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab, GoCD, AWS CDK, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy

• Enterprise platforms: JEE, middleware (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tibco), databases, data warehouses

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)

• One or more of the following:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

  • Azure Solutions Architect – Expert

  • Google Cloud Professional Architect
