Cloud Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Engineer to support Azure cloud infrastructure operations, automation initiatives, platform reliability, and production support activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in Microsoft Azure environments, infrastructure management, cloud operations, and enterprise support processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and support Azure cloud infrastructure environments.
• Provide advanced operational support for Azure cloud services and related infrastructure components.
• Monitor and maintain production environments using enterprise monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Respond to and resolve incidents, service requests, and alerts within defined SLAs to ensure high service availability.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Azure services including Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Load Balancers, Backup, Monitoring, and Logging services.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or similar automation tools.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
• Manage patching and maintenance activities for Windows and Linux environments while ensuring compliance and minimal disruption.
• Perform routine operational tasks such as health checks, backup validation, service monitoring, and configuration reviews.
• Support change, release, and maintenance activities following operational and IT service management best practices.
• Maintain operational documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and technical knowledge articles.
• Support security, audit, compliance, and vulnerability remediation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure operational stability and service excellence.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement across cloud operations and infrastructure management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and operational best practices.
• Experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes, AKS, Docker, and Helm.
• Experience supporting enterprise patching, maintenance, and operational support activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, backup, and alerting solutions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure or Cloud-related certifications.
• Experience supporting highly available and scalable production environments.
• Exposure to cloud migration, modernization, or transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes and service management practices.
