Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Optical Systems Engineer to design and develop high-speed optical transceivers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with optical components, system modeling, and signal processing, along with a strong background in analyzing system performance and implementing advanced DSP techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of high-speed optical transceivers from concept through design to delivery, ensuring innovative and reliable optical interconnect solutions
  • Manage the full product lifecycle including concept development, simulation, testing, and validation to achieve high-performance system outcomes
  • Develop detailed optical system models to simulate and predict device behavior and system performance under various operating conditions
  • Conduct signal integrity assessments to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in optical communication systems
  • Establish comprehensive system requirements, validation criteria, and testing protocols for optical components and final products to ensure compliance with performance standards
  • Perform analytical simulations to forecast system behavior and guide design optimizations for enhanced optical transceiver functionality

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing high-speed optical communication systems and transceivers
  • Proven expertise in optical systems architecture and design principles
  • Hands-on experience with optical components and system modeling techniques
  • Proficiency in modeling optoelectronic devices to support system development and performance analysis
