Job Summary

The Technical Support Engineer will support the sales team by delivering expert technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand technical requirements, develop tailored solutions, and ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and support to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and successful product use
  • Support application functionality by ensuring smooth operation of existing systems and addressing technical inquiries promptly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve customer-related technical questions with precision and timeliness, ensuring consistent support quality
  • Engage directly with customers to identify technical challenges and requirements, fostering strong relationships and trust
  • Assist in designing and customizing technical solutions that align with customer needs and expectations, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention
  • Troubleshoot and resolve post-sale technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain customer confidence
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, facilitating understanding and problem resolution
  • Work independently with a structured approach to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Travel up to 50% to support customer engagements, technical training, and on-site troubleshooting as required

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information effectively at all organizational levels
  • Strong technical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills to address customer challenges

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical support or customer-facing roles
  • Experience with water quality applications and related technologies
  • Enthusiasm for technical products and continuous learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared objectives
  • Proactive in initiating actions to exceed work goals and deliver results
  • Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.
