(Banking) APAC Risk Controls Lead #sb - 12 month contract

Your new role

• Application vulnerability and control remediation.
• Manage audit and exam engagements end-to-end, ensuring adherence to governance standards, protocols, timelines, and quality expectations.
• Oversee regulatory and risk assessments, including ongoing and ad-hoc regulatory requests; ensure data accuracy, governance, and timely submissions.
• Act as the primary regional point of contact for risk and controls across Finance, Technology, Compliance, Information Security, Audit, and global stakeholders.
• Provide clear, concise reporting and senior-level communication on risk themes, status, and emerging issues
• Promote and embed a strong risk and controls culture across the organization.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Technology Risk, Compliance, Internal Controls, Audit, or a Regulatory-related role.
• Proven ability to identify risk issues and drive control improvements to closure.
• Strong understanding of complex regulatory and risk environments, with the ability to anticipate risks and synthesize key insights.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and execution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
