Business Analyst – Investment Advisory Systems (Aladdin Wealth)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Investment Advisory Services and hands-on experience with the Aladdin Wealth platform. The successful candidate will work within an agile transformation programme to drive requirements gathering, solution design, and system implementation across complex wealth management initiatives.

This role requires deep product knowledge, regulatory awareness, and strong collaboration across business, technology, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Program Manager, and squad members to define and refine requirements at epic and user story level.

• Work with subject matter experts to gather, validate, and document business requirements.

• Translate business needs into structured documentation including models, process flows, diagrams, and presentations.

• Facilitate discussions to align stakeholders on scope, design, and implementation decisions.

• Partner with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery aligned to validated requirements.

• Prepare user training materials and user guides; support business users in updated workflow implementation.

• Develop use cases and test cases; conduct pre-UAT activities.

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Identify project risks and issues, and proactively escalate to program leadership.

• Analyse and optimise existing workflows and propose new target operating models where required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

• University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Information Technology, Mathematics, or Business Management.

Domain & Product Knowledge

• Mandatory: Investment Advisory Services.

• Mandatory: Strong working knowledge of Aladdin Wealth platform.

• Nice to have: Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM).

• Nice to have: Execution Only services.

• Strong understanding of investment products lifecycle, especially structured products and OTC products.

• Experience implementing Aladdin Wealth, particularly in integration with Avaloq core banking system, is highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of Avaloq core banking system is a strong advantage.

Regulatory Knowledge

• Mandatory: MiFID.

• Advantageous: UK and Swiss regulatory frameworks for investment services.

• Advantageous: MAS and HKMA regulations related to wealth management and advisory services.

Technical & Methodology Skills

• Experience working in agile environments (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).

• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.

• Strong expertise in conceptual modelling and business process documentation.

• Demonstrable experience designing and documenting requirements within agile teams.
