Job Description

You will play a key role in strengthening how compliance is done across the organisation — improving AML processes, uplifting policies, building internal understanding, and advising business teams on regulatory expectations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both designing better frameworks and working closely with stakeholders, rather than sitting purely in operational execution. What You’ll Do AML & Process Improvement • Review and enhance AML / CDD / EDD processes to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency. • Strengthen AML/CFT policies, procedures, and internal playbooks. • Deliver internal training to raise compliance awareness and capability across teams. • Provide oversight on onboarding standards, client risk assessments, and escalations. • Act as an escalation point for higher-risk cases and complex reviews. • Support banking-related reviews (e.g. account openings, periodic due diligence), where needed. Regulatory & Compliance Advisory • Interpret regulatory requirements and provide clear, practical guidance to business teams. • Review new activities, products, and structures for compliance implications. • Strengthen policies related to conduct, complaints handling, mis-selling, and data protection. • Support regulatory submissions, reporting, and licence-related matters. • Partner with product, risk, and operations teams across the product lifecycle. • Contribute to building frameworks for future offerings, including brokerage models and tokenised assets. Who You Are Must-Have • 7–12 years’ experience across compliance, AML, regulatory advisory, or capital markets compliance. • Experience improving AML processes and reviewing policies, not just executing onboarding. • Proven ability to draft or enhance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. • Strong judgment in interpreting regulations and applying them in real business contexts. • Experience working with multiple stakeholders (product, operations, management). • Comfortable delivering internal training and influencing behaviour. Nice-to-Have • Exposure to fintech, digital assets, or fast-evolving regulatory environments. • Experience in brokerage, asset management, or PSA-regulated businesses. • Experience using data or analytics to strengthen compliance oversight.
