Job Summary
Manage comprehensive financial operations for marine services and ship supply, driving accurate accounting, compliance, and insightful financial analysis to support strategic business decisions and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts including accounts receivable and payable to ensure accurate financial records and effective cash flow management
- Oversee financial accounting processes for marine services, ship supply, and logistics operations by applying knowledge of business workflows and settlement procedures
- Coordinate procurement, vessel supply, invoicing, collections, and payments to maintain completeness and accuracy of financial documentation
- Prepare and submit GST returns while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and liaising with external accountants and auditors for audit readiness
- Develop and enhance financial controls, accounting procedures, and internal processes to strengthen operational integrity and risk management
- Conduct financial and cost analyses and generate management reports to provide actionable insights supporting informed decision-making
- Manage finance-related documentation and coordinate compliance activities across internal teams and external stakeholders
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Major in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- 5–6 years of relevant working experience, preferably in marine services, ship supply, shipping, or logistics industries
- Familiarity with Singapore accounting practices and tax requirements; GST experience is advantageous
- Strong execution capability to independently handle full set of accounts
- Detail-oriented and responsible with the ability to work effectively in a small-to-medium enterprise environment
- Effective communication skills to collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and external parties
- Proficient in English for daily work communication
