Openshift Administrator (OCP Engineer)

Role Purpose

Responsible for patching and vulnerability management of the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Linux servers, ensuring platform stability, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and secure Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) to meet uptime, performance, and compliance standards.
• Plan and execute patching, upgrades, deployments, and disaster recovery tests for OCP and Linux environments.
• Provide L3 support for OCP, including change management, system administration, performance, and availability.
• Support application and development teams on OCP usage, standards, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Perform health checks and assessments, and provide best-practice recommendations to L1/L2 teams.
• Deliver technical guidance on patching, upgrades, migrations, and OCP operators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve OCP and container-related issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors as needed.
• Work with network, security, storage, and Wintel teams to support platform upgrades and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and automation scripts for OCP environments.
• Support and manage platform enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Red Hat OCP, RHEL, containers, and DevSecOps in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container platforms.
• Experience working in SLA-driven environments with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to provide on‑call support and work weekends on a roster basis when required.
