Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE    

The Country Engineering Lead provides transversal leadership, coordination, and support across all Business Unit engineering teams in the Country. The role’s objective is to drive harmonization, continuous improvement, and best practice sharing for engineering methods and tools in alignment with Group standards, facilitate identification and realization of synergies, and animate an engaged cross-domain engineering community. The Lead supports each Business Unit in developing their maturity in a tailored, pragmatic way, and acts as a reference for training, coaching, and transformation to elevate operational performance, customer satisfaction, and collective efficiency.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Support Maturity, Harmonization & Performance
•    Assess the maturity level of engineering functions in each BU.
•    Contribute to engineering transformation plans, aligned with Group processes and standards and supporting their implementation adjusted to Singapore towards increased operational maturity.
•    Ensure adherence to Group engineering processes and quality standards across all BUs.
•    Support monitoring and communication of engineering performance metrics and improvement actions in partnership with local and central teams.
•    Support BUs in the adoption of new tools (e.g. LEWIS), methods, and technologies in alignment with Group standards.
•    Reinforce collective capability to deliver on commitments regarding both quality and competitiveness.
•    Design, implement, and continuously improve a standardized onboarding program for new engineering hires, ensuring alignment with Group methodologies, tools, and best practices, and accelerating integration and operational readiness.
•    Drive a culture of engineering excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.
•    Act as a trainer and coach on Group engineering methodologies, tools, and processes.
•    Organize workshops, training sessions, and learning programs to upskill local engineering teams.
•    Act as a reference internal trainer and mentor on standards, agile/lean practices, and continuous improvement.

Transversal Coordination & Synergy Facilitation
•    Act as focal point for the country’s engineering community, linking Business Units and Group Engineering functions.
•    Identify, promote, and facilitate synergies (best practices, co-development, harmonization, up to shared resource) maximizing collective efficiency and value.
•    Identify potential for shared support roles, such as Engineering Operations (e.g. KPI, workload management, estimations, practice&tools,…), also in alignmnet with Bids&Projects 
•    Act as Subject Matter Expert for main tools used in Engineering, such as Polarion, MS Project, Configuration Management (Palma/Excel), Capella, Jira, CI/CD, ansible, github, black duck, coverity, SonarQube etc.
•    Monitor cross-BU dependencies and foster a mindset of collaboration and mutual support.
•    Build, lead, and animate a collaborative, engaged engineering community through regular forums, workshops, and innovation events, on engineering specialties (e.g. network, cybersecurity, UX design, deployment tools, Configuration Management, agile practices…)
•    Facilitate exchanges of best practices, lessons learned, and success stories across all entities and maturity levels.
 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS   

•    10+ years in engineering roles within complex, preferably international and matrix industrial/technology organizations.
•    Demonstrated experience in developing/implementing engineering processes, standards, and excellence initiatives, including Agile/Lean practices.
•    Experience in facilitating communities, driving synergies, and leading transformation in multicultural settings.
•    Prior experience as engineering manager, technical lead, ideally including System Engineering and/or IVVQ activities, or in process/quality improvement
 

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS    

•    Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
•    Relevant certifications in process improvement or engineering management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, PMP, ISO standards) are highly desirable.
•    Profound knowledges  
 

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE    

•    Minimum 8–12 years of professional experience in engineering functions within a multinational or matrix organization.
•    Proven experience in leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and driving process standardization.
•    Hands-on experience in facilitating engineering communities, knowledge-sharing networks, or centers of excellence.
•    Experience in coaching, mentoring, and capability development.
•    Advanced communication (oral and written), influencing and stakeholder management skills.
•    Able to animate collaborative communities, workshops, and events
•    Recognized for collaborative, structured, dynamic and solution-oriented mindset; able to adapt in fast-changing and multicultural environments
