About the Company
We are an established Singapore-based manufacturing company with integrated production and office operations. Technology plays a critical role in supporting our plant systems, ERP platform, production reporting, and daily business functions.
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on IT Executive to support end-users and maintain stable IT operations across both office and plant environments.
Role Overview
This role provides Level 1–2 IT support covering desktop systems, basic network infrastructure, and operational IT systems within a manufacturing plant setting. The successful candidate must be comfortable troubleshooting issues on the production floor as well as in office environments.
Key Responsibilities
End-User & Desktop Support
- Provide first and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft 365, email, VPN, and shared drive issues
- Support barcode printers, label printers, and production PCs
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and password resets (Active Directory)
- Provide both onsite and remote support to plant and office users
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Assist in maintaining LAN, Wi-Fi, and basic firewall configurations
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues affecting production systems
- Perform routine server health checks and coordinate with external IT vendors
- Support backup monitoring and endpoint security solutions
- Escalate major infrastructure issues appropriately
Manufacturing Systems Support
- Provide basic support for ERP and production reporting systems
- Support time attendance systems and shopfloor terminals
- Assist in IT setup for new production equipment
- Ensure minimal downtime impacting operations
IT Administration & Governance
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
- Support hardware procurement and lifecycle management
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies
- Liaise with external IT service providers and system vendors
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support or desktop support
- Windows 10/11
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Hands-on, practical problem-solver with good communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Good to Have
- Experience supporting ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Business Central, or similar)
- Familiarity with firewalls (e.g., FortiGate), switches and access points
- Exposure to cctv surveillance, door access, or factory automation networks
- Basic cybersecurity awareness
