Job Description
- Review and authorize Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, staff claims, and payment vouchers to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for all outlets, including sales reconciliation and expense tracking.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial consolidation, management reports, and statutory financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Handle GST submission, corporate tax computation, and deferred tax reporting, ensuring compliance with IRAS requirements.
- Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and intercompany transactions, and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities on audit and compliance matters.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and cost control recommendations.
- Review and analyse profit and loss statements to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in setting up and improving internal controls, accounting procedures, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with operations and HR departments on payroll verification, inventory reporting, and other finance-related activities.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reports, and support for management decisions.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountants (CPA) preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, with prior experience in the F&B / hospitality industry required.
- Strong understanding of F&B cost structures, inventory management, outlet-level P&L analysis, and POS systems.
- Familiar with SFRS, GST, corporate tax, and IRAS regulations in Singapore.
- Experience handling multi-outlet or group accounts is highly preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
