client is currently seeking an experienced Principal Engineer.

PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

Job Description

Purpose of the role

To conduct maintenance activities to ensure high level ofoperability and reliability of M&E systems in the

company.

Scope of the role

• Attend and resolve daily operational matters with regard toM&E systems and liaise with Estate

Management for areas that required interface

• To perform standby duties outside office hours to supportservicing work and continuity of services at major

events and / or "live" transmission of criticalprogrammes

• Able to interpret single line diagram, control schematic andperform trouble shooting and hands on for

minor repair

• Stay contactable 24 x 7 for prompt attention to criticalabnormalities

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the execution of electrical project andmaintenance works (UPS, generators, HT and

LT switchgears, transformers, battery chargers, etc) on-site

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensuretimely completion of works

• Prepare tender documents for maintenance contracts and projectworks

• Responds to BMS alerts, investigate and feedback on anyoutstanding issues or events and respond to

emergency situations and be on standby duty if required

• Technical supervision of the operation, maintenance and repairof all mission critical equipment and

systems supporting 24x7 activities to achieve 100% uptime

• Maintain compliance with local workplace safety & health(WSH) standards and local codes

• Provide guidance to junior engineers in the electrical team

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent withminimum 5 to 8 years' relevant experience

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in power monitoring andcontrol systems

• Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of generators andUPS systems

• Familiarity with lighting systems and their design,installation, and troubleshooting

• In-depth understanding of high-voltage and low-voltageswitchgears
