Cloud Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to design, build, and maintain cloud resources and components, including compute instances, storage, networking, manage full-lifecycle implementation (deployment, migration, maintenance, incident recovery) for Huawei Cloud Stack, Telco Cloud Network, and Public Cloud, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Expert in Huawei cloud-network collaboration mechanisms, optimizing data communication protocols in virtual-physical network integrated environments, and serve as a product SME and able to works independently complete technical work in service scenarios such as project delivery, network maintenance, learning services, and service product development involving cloud core network product.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical network-related outages in Huawei cloud environments, drive root cause analysis, and deliver stability improvement plans related to infrastructure and core network applications.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud-based systems and data.
• Create reusable solutions based on Huawei cloud-native technologies (containers, Kubernetes) and datacom expertise.
• Partner with network and cloud operations teams to deliver complex cloud network architectures (e.g., multi-active data centres, cloud-edge synergy).
• Expert in using tools like CloudNetDebug and coloring-based root cause tools for cross-domain fault diagnosis, with optimization capabilities to enhance related functionalities.
• Responsible in achieving delivery & service business objectives in aspects like network management baselines, efficiency, costs, quality or competitiveness.
• Require to work as a team with either regional/HQ or local team.
• Require to work under minimum supervision to complete tasks assigned.
• Require to be able to present technical solution professionally and have technical training for local channel partners and customers.
• To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Electrical & Electronic Engineering of related fields.
• Minimum 12 years related telecommunications experiences in ICT industry including but not limited to Packet Core network, CS Core network, Fixed BB network, IP Core/RAN network, RAN and Microwave network.
• Proficient in Huawei cloud network architecture (HCS/Telco Cloud/Public Cloud) and datacom technologies (routing protocols, QoS, network security).
• Experienced in technical lead and capable to handle cross domain technical solution and issue such as Cloud, Datacom and Transmission for projects, maintenance and pre-sales support.
• Skills required: proficient in VoLTE/VoWifi/VoBB/RCS/Cloud/NFVI/ related project delivery solution for major mobile operator.
• Able to manage projects on project management level and provide adequate risk assessment on handled projects, at least 5 years’ experience in handling major issues and network incidents.
• Experienced in mid-level (HOD) & high-level (CXO) customer engagement.
• Must be a responsible person, pro-active and customer-oriented.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
• Excellent team player with good initiative and ability to perform under pressure and work in fast paced environment.
• Flexible in work time arrangement as this role may require performing night duty as per job request.
• Willing to work on shift & on night-time standby as required.
