Job Description

Job Objectives:

To assist in leading and delivering projects.

Key Skills:

  • Good experience in Delivery and Project management
  • Good experience in technical project/program management. Must have led team of developers in delivering projects
  • Good experience and knowledge of Agile processes and ways of working
  • Experience in BFS is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand the business requirements
  2. Develop, review and update project plans, resources, budgets and timeframes.
  3. Drive the data, design and solution discussions with vendor, technology team and user groups.
  4. Directly lead and manage a team of technical teams comprising developers, technical analysts with focus on delivering banking systems and solutions
  5. Responsible for the successful execution and technical delivery of projects that meet scope, timeline and budget
  6. Stakeholder and relationship management, including escalation, expectation, conflict, scope changes
  7. Partner with solution and enterprise architects to deliver technical innovations in support of emerging business needs and to progress these ideas from concepts to working solutions
  8. Plan project efforts to upgrade, enhance and maintain systems at supported release levels
  9. Identify and raise risks and issues affecting the project, including financial or operation and proactively managing them, with timely escalation to relevant parties where necessary.
  10. Drive the testing strategy and manage the testing cycles, ensuring all critical and high defects are resolved within the testing cycle.
  11. Manage relationships across all business lines and with external parties, ensuring timely delivery of assigned activities.
  12. Organise and chair governance meetings, including preparation of meeting materials and minutes.
  13. Ensure work deliverables are in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  14. Directs the offshore squad in making day-to-day decisions and conflict resolution.


Key Requirements

  1. Technical manager with more than 12 years of relevant experience in financial services industry –Corporate banking/Cash management
  2. Good and proven fundamental knowledge of project implementation for large-scale, multi-interfaces applications
  3. Experience in delivering projects in full SDLC/Agile methodologies
  4. Have good interpersonal and communications skills
  5. Have good organizational skills and stakeholder management skills, with experience at coordinating multiple stakeholders in a diverse organization
  6. Have good presentation skills
  7. Be a self-starter, and able to work independently
  8. Able to work within ambiguity
  9. Have strong execution ability and able to see end-to-end closure of issues
  10. Demonstrate good initiative in issue resolution
  11. Result-oriented person with focus on delivery
  12. PMP certified preferred
