Job Summary

The ideal candidate will play a key supporting role within the company and assist the Principal Building Surveyor and Project Manager in all aspects of surveying, planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the agreed upon budget, timeline, and scope.

Responsibilities

• Support project leads by coordinating project activities to ensure timely execution and adherence to budget and scope
• Manage and maintain meticulous filing and project documentation systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval
• Assist in conducting surveying inspections to gather data and support project assessments
• Support tendering and procurement processes by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with vendors
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports by updating project status to inform stakeholders and facilitate decision-making
• Coordinate follow-ups on site works and punch lists to ensure completion of outstanding tasks and quality standards
• Participate in ad-hoc assignments by applying problem-solving skills to meet evolving project needs
• Ensure project delivery on time.

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Built Environment or equivalent experience in building and project management-related fields

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong attention to detail demonstrated by managing complex project documentation accurately
• Passion for surveying and project management shown through proactive engagement in project tasks
• Effective verbal, written, and organizational communication skills to facilitate collaboration and reporting
• Time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
