Financial Controller SG

Your role

This is a short-term position of up to one year

Do you like numbers and ensuring that a robust set of controls is operating effectively with the required supervision? Do you have strong interpersonal skills?

We are looking for someone who can:

-      Act as a senior finance leader with end-to-end accountability

-      Provide financial control, oversight and challenge across business activities with timely escalation of material issues and risks

-      Review, analyze, and interpret financial results and granular data ensuring accuracy, completeness and transparency

-      Lead governance and sign-off for monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and key disclosures

-      Oversee and approve significant P&L items, including exceptional items and valuation-related impacts

-      Review and influence front-to-back processes and controls, strengthening the overall control framework

-      Partner with the business and Finance leadership to support new initiatives from a control and governance perspective

Your team

As a Financial controller you will be joining the Finance team in Singapore supporting locations in the Middle East

Your experience and skills

You have:

–  Extensive experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit within a complex organization

–  Strong understanding of financial statements, controls, and governance frameworks

–  Proven ability to operate providing independent challenge and expert judgement

–  strong entrepreneurial and analytical skills

–  proven several years of experience in a similar position

–  higher Education at least degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics

–   a professional qualification in accounting

–  experience in working in cross functional teams and cross-location

–  familiarity with the UBS Group entities in the Middle East region would be a significant advantage
