Network Engineer (12-month Contract)

Overall Role and Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day network operations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.1
• Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP servers.1
• Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved in network installation.1
• Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to optimize network efficiency and security.
• Support the deployment and management of Cisco SD-WAN solutions to optimize network traffic and enhance connectivity.
• Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and arranging scheduled upgrades.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve network performance and reliability.
• Develop and manage switching and routing Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Configure Palo Alto firewall rules to enforce network security policies.
• Configure Cisco wireless solutions to ensure reliable connectivity and coverage.
• Manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and ZPA VPN solutions for secure remote access.
• Create and validate Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) policies.
• Implement AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting), Dot1x, and TACACS+ for secure network access control.
• Report network status and performance metrics to key stakeholders.

Required Skills & Certifications: 

• Cisco CCNP certification & Palo Alto PCNSE are required. Good understanding of network systems, including network architecture, routing, switching, firewalls, and security principles.
• Desired Skills: Cisco SDWAN, Palo Alto Firewall and Zscaler experience.
