Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation

As an Automation Test Engineer, you'll lead and execute automated and non-regression testing using java-Selenium and other tools to ensure high-quality banking application releases.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform non-regression testing on upcoming application releases to ensure quality and stability
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium-based testing framework
• Collaborate with development and operations teams for efficient troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through resolution
• Contribute to the test automation chapter, sharing knowledge and best practices across the department
• Reduce non-regression test lead times and increase test coverage through automation initiatives
• Monitor and execute scheduled test jobs (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Maintain and improve existing testing workflows, processes, and frameworks
• Prepare test reports and documentation for stakeholder.

Qualifications and Profile

The successful candidate should have:

• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Programming & Systems Analysis/ Science (Computer Studies) faculties.
• Minimum 3-7 years of experience as a Test Engineer, preferably in banking or financial services environment

Technical

Good hands-on experience in following technologies:

-          Test automation: Selenium, Java

-          Programming/Scripting: Python, Java

-          Version control systems: Git

-          CI/CD tools: Jenkins or similar

-          Database: SQL scripting (SQL Server or Oracle preferred)

-          API Testing: REST API experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker, Kafka, MQSeries
• Familiarity with task schedulers such as Control-M
• Knowledge of observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus)
• Experience with Agile and ITIL practices
• Understanding of Lean management principles
• Additional certifications in software testing (ISTQB) or related areas
