AWS Cloud Engineer

We are representing our client in the global technology and engineering space to look for a Senior Engineer specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join their dynamic Cloud Business Unit. In this role, you will support the organization’s mission of delivering cutting-edge data centre and cloud services by designing, securing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud solutions for a broad range of clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, secure, and manage scalable AWS cloud solutions.
• Operate and maintain AWS cloud environments at scale.
• Deliver and manage large-scale cloud projects from execution through to delivery, including work within highly regulated environments.
• Apply security best practices, networking principles, and identity management within AWS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while also working independently when required.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating AWS cloud environments at scale.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and identity and access management in AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Relevant AWS certifications are highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
