Core Network Engineer

Job responsibilities:

• Mobile or fixed core network voice solution and data solution delivery, including service delivery solution preparation in pre-sale phase, HLD/LLD design, hardware installation, software commissioning, integration, acceptance testing, software upgrade, service migration and maintenance.
• Act as the technical team lead in the project delivery team, manage a technical team of 3 ~ 6 engineers.
• Monitor and manage project progress, reporting to management team with progress and issues. Ensure completion of projects within timeline and scope of work.
• Arrange the technical workshop with customers, including planning team, operation team.
• Share knowledge to team and provide technical assistance to them.
• To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Job requirements:

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Engineering-related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in telecom equipment vendor hands-on experience in both voice and data solution design, deployment, service migration and maintenance.
• Excellent knowledge of Core Network system including IMS, CS, NGN, PS/EPC.
• Thorough knowledge of VoLTE service, VoBB service, CS/NGN service, 3/4G data service, interfaces, protocols, etc.
• Very good knowledge of NFV/CloudOS/VNFM/IP.
• Experience in swapping other vendor’s core network voice solution equipment.
• Strong sense of integrity, responsibility and initiative.
• Self-organized, able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
