The Role

We are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) Consultant with a powerhouse background in Financial Accounting & Controlling (FI/CO). This role is central to a global S/4HANA implementation for a leader in the EPC sector.

The ideal candidate does not just "configure PS"—they architect the end-to-end financial lifecycle of massive capital assets, ensuring seamless integration between project execution and the Universal Journal.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture: Lead "Fit-to-Standard" workshops to design robust project structures (WBS, Networks, Milestones) for complex, multi-year infrastructure developments.
• Financial Control & Integration: Architect the integration between PS and FI/CO, focusing on Asset Under Construction (AuC), Capitalisation, and automatic settlement to Fixed Assets.
• Budgeting & Planning: Implement sophisticated Availability Control (AVC) and Investment Management (IM) to manage multi-million dollar capital spends across global entities.
• Project Accounting: Configure Period-End Closing activities, including Results Analysis (RA), WIP calculation, and Overhead Costing.
• S/4HANA Innovation: Deploy SAP Fiori-based project monitoring tools and leverage the simplified data model for real-time cost and revenue reporting.
• Cross-Module Synergy: Ensure tight integration with Sourcing & Procurement (MM) for project-stock and Sales (SD) for milestone-based billing.

Profile Requirements

• Core Experience: 10+ years of SAP consulting experience with at least 3 End-to-End S/4HANA Implementations in lead roles.
• Dual Expertise: Proven track record of transitioning from a Senior FICO Consultant to a PS specialist. You must understand the impact of every PS posting on the General Ledger.
• Industry Domain: Deep experience in Infrastructure, EPC, or Asset-Heavy Engineering sectors. Familiarity with managing land development costs or long-term construction contracts is highly preferred.

Technical Mastery:

• Expertise in S/4HANA Financials (New Asset Accounting, Business Partners).
• Advanced PS configuration (Project Profiles, Settlement Rules, Resource Related Billing).
• Knowledge of IFRS/Local GAAP requirements for project capitalisation.

Soft Skills:

• Tier 1 SI firm experience. Ability to challenge business requirements and steer stakeholders toward SAP Best Practices.
