Infrastructure & Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Systems Engineer with strong hands on expertise across Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), virtualization, automation, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring solid operational and engineering experience, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and administer Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) environments, including installation, configuration, hardening, and performance tuning.

Support and maintain ETL environments, particularly Datastage platforms.

Perform VMware administration, including provisioning, resource optimization, patching, and troubleshooting.

Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Bash and other scripting tools.

Execute system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management across hybrid environments.

Manage backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and compliance with policies.

Monitor systems proactively, respond to incidents, and handle problem/change management following ITIL practices.

Support hybrid cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, focusing on scalability, availability, and security.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to support infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, and continuous improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of exp
• erience in infrastructure/system engineering roles.
• Strong hands on experience with both Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) — must have.
• Experience working with Datastage ETL platforms.
• Solid knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation.
• Experience with backup/recovery tools, monitoring platforms, and incident/change management frameworks (ITIL).
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud services (hybrid environments preferred).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
• Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft, VMware, AWS/Azure, or ITIL.

• Experience with infrastructure security hardening and compliance frameworks.
