Senior DevOps Engineer

Role: Senior DevOps Engineer

- Responsible for the setup, configuration, and management of non-production and production platforms for DevOps and Automation

- Lead the development and coordinate with other Ops Leads to enable Automation. Collect automation requests

- Develop the automation playbook according to the proper coding standard and requirement

- Migration and deployment of the playbook to operationalize automation use cases to improve productivity

- Lead the design and implementation of DevOps and automation solutions for the project Key Responsibilities &

Key Result Areas

- Understand the automation and DevOps specifics and concept in day-to-day service delivery and operations in IT Managed Services.

- Build, configuration, upgrade, and lifecycle management of Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and GitLab with Geo Setup.

Extend and integrate the GitLab Geo architecture with the existing GitLab.

- Build and maintain an automation playbook using some of these automation technologies, such as Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and Terraform (HCL) or  other scripting languages.

- Operationalize automation development to improve productivity.

- Code or script for automated testing, as well as carry out automated testing procedures in testing and production environments.

- Code control and versioning of Infra-as-code (IaC) playbook.

- Manage the setup of the DevOps platform and deployment of CI/CD pipeline.

- Manage and operate the DevOps and IaC Platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, and Gitlab and maintain operational SLA.

- Good to know integration with tools such as ITSM and so on.

- Provide presales solution support for the development of an automation solution.

Qualifications Qualifications & Experience
- Degree / Diploma in Computer Science / IT-related; and hands-on experience to develop IaC code using one or more of the scripting languages (e.g. Ansible, Python, Powershell, bash): hands-on expeirence in design and implementation of CI/CD platform such as GitLab.

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps and IaC development (Must Have)
Must have experience in Ansible Automation/Development.
Must have experience in GitLab CI/CD Pipeline

Good to have terraform experience/knowledge
Very good hands-on experience in Ansible, and Terraform Platform setup, configuration, and management (Must Have)

Experience in DevOps platform [GitLab] setup and configuration

Very good hands-on experience in CI/CD Pipeline development and deployment (Must Have)

Good hands-on experience in Ansible, and Terraform Platform setup, configuration, and management (Must Have)

Hands-on experience in cloud DevOps is advantageous

Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows Administration

Experience in automation, configuration, and compliance management using either Ansible

Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and scripting languages

Strong experience in PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MySQL

In particular, sound and hands-on experience with some of the scripting languages (Python, Ansible, JavaScript, Perl, and/or Groovy)

Experience with source code and version control

Some knowledge in developing a playbook using the RPA tool

Good problem-solving skills - Passion for programming and automation, and actively look for opportunities to develop tools to streamline and simplify the development and delivery process.

Good understanding of systems, networking, and development tools

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle - Self-motivated and have attention to detail Additional Information

Mandatory Skills
