About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to collaborate with front‑office teams to design, implement, and optimise investment workflows, with a strong focus on risk management and trade processing systems. It requires hands‑on experience with platforms such as Murex, SimCorp Dimension, BlackRock Aladdin, and Charles River to support robust, efficient, and well‑governed operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements, and vice versa.
• Design, test, and implement processes, tools, and systems in partnership with internal IT, risk, and finance teams, as well as external software vendors, to support front‑office investment workflows.
• Develop and execute test plans for system, process, and product enhancements, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare and maintain user guides and documentation for front‑office processes, tools, and systems.
• Coordinate with multiple departments on the implementation of roadmap initiatives for front‑office workflows, including feature development and system upgrades.
• Ensure front‑office processes and procedures meet internal standards for data integrity, security, and auditability.
• Monitor, analyse, and troubleshoot front‑office workflows to ensure seamless operations, working closely with internal IT and external service providers to resolve production issues.
• Manage project implementation with vendors and service providers, including procurement activities and related administrative tasks.
• Oversee change management activities to support new product and system adoption, including possible workflow redesign or process re‑engineering.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in investment operations, risk management, or trade processing within asset management, banking, or financial services.
• Proven hands‑on experience with at least one major platform: Murex, SimCorp Dimension, BlackRock Aladdin, or Charles River.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of front‑office investment workflows including trade capture, order management, market data, pricing, and risk reporting.
• Knowledge of investment products such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and structured products.
• Understanding of risk domains: market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and valuation controls.
• Experience designing or enhancing processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and control.
• Familiarity with integration concepts, data flows, and testing (UAT, regression, end‑to‑end process validation).
• Ability to write or review functional specifications, user stories, test scripts, and process documentation.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, procurement, and system implementation lifecycles.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured and detail‑oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills to effectively translate business needs into technical requirements.
• High sense of accountability, ownership, and service orientation.
