Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across projects and product lifecycles

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements

• Conduct stakeholder workshops, interviews, and JAD sessions with senior business and technical stakeholders

• Translate business needs into BRD, FRD, SRS, Use Cases, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria

• Act as a bridge between business users, product owners, architects, developers, and QA teams

• Perform process analysis and optimization using AS-IS / TO-BE modeling

• Support UAT planning and execution, defect triage, and business sign-off

• Analyze data trends and KPIs to support business decisions

• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the SDLC

• Support change management, impact analysis, and release planning

Business Analysis & Domain Skills

• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops, surveys, prototyping)

• Advanced knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies

• Experience creating and managing Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)

• Strong understanding of business process re-engineering (BPR)

• Ability to perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and impact analysis

• Experience working in enterprise-scale or multi-vendor projects

Technical & Data Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and analysis

• Ability to interpret data models, APIs, system flows, and integration diagrams

• Experience working with ERP / CRM / Core Banking / Insurance / Government / SaaS platforms (any relevant domain)

• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and system integrations

• Experience with reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel Advanced)

Tools & Documentation

• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar ALM tools

• Experience with BPMN / UML tools (Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart)

• Strong documentation skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Experience writing clear, testable, and unambiguous requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst

Preferred / Added Advantage

• CBAP / CCBA / PMI-PBA certification

• Experience in regulated industries (Banking, Finance, Healthcare, Government)

• Experience working with product-based or digital transformation projects
